Where we do not own the factories, we make sure to pick our production partners carefully and to install fruitful and long-term partnerships.
A main priority at Oberalp is the health and wellbeing of everyone who makes our products - not just our own employees. We dedicate substantial effort and resources to advancing safe, respectful and equitable working conditions in garment production worldwide.

Joining a multi‑stakeholder initiative strengthened our efforts to improve working conditions across the textile industry
84% of our textile production volume came from long-term suppliers (+5 years)
15% EU, 83% Asia, 2% Middle East
We give back to the communities, nature and wildlife where we work and live.
Back in 2013, we chose to join the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF), a multi‑stakeholder initiative dedicated to improving working conditions in the textile sector, reaffirming our commitment to keeping the wellbeing of the people who make our products at the centre of our work.
Membership supports us in implementing human rights due diligence across our textile finished‑product supply chain, strengthening our ability to identify and mitigate risks, improve remediation processes, and ensure access to protection mechanisms for workers. FWF conducts and shares research on workplace‑related issues and legislation requirements, facilitates open exchange among brands and stakeholders, and relies on local teams in various production countries to deliver trainings, seminars, and factory assessments that help build stronger and more resilient systems. A key element of FWF’s work is its worker complaint mechanism, which allows workers of the factories we are collaborating with to submit complaints in their own language; these are then communicated to us, enabling timely, accessible and culturally appropriate remediation.
Each year, FWF conducts its Brand Performance Check, evaluating our internal organization, the handling of key events, and how we have reacted to worker complaints, risks and harms identified through factory assessments or other sources, and publishing a transparent rating on its website.
Our products are made in accordance with our internal human rights due diligence processes. This allows us to identify, prevent, mitigate and address risks and negative impacts that may arise along the supply chain. While our commitment and efforts are substantial, no supply chain can ever be entirely free from risks or harm. That is why we continue to improve and seek better solutions every day.
