It is a long-standing tradition of the South Tyrolean house of brands in the mountain sports industry Oberalp to highlight and reward special projects and achievements of employees with the so-called "Oberalp Award" every year. This was also the case in 2022, when a record number of projects were submitted for this coveted award, with over one hundred proposals in various categories. After extensive review and discussion, the Executive Board of the Oberalp Group announced the winners from among the submitted projects in November 2022. The awards were presented at the annual Employee Meeting by Ruth Oberrauch, member of the Oberalp Executive Board, together with Oberalp Group CEO Christoph Engl, to the thunderous applause from all Oberalp employees.

The Creativity & Innovation Award 2022 was presented to two teams. The marketing team Dynafit was awarded for the opening of the "Dynafit Athlete Center", a training center of a very special kind, which opens its doors to mountain athletes in Chiemgau and offers the ideal conditions to prepare for competitions in mountain endurance sports. The second winning team of the Creativity & Innovation Awards 2022 is the marketing team of the Oberalp distribution brands. This team was awarded for arranging an innovative showroom concept that harmoniously combines many different brands in one place.

In the Risk Award category, projects and teams are honored annually for their courage in making decisions - regardless of whether they then turn out to be the right ones. In this category, a team of two from the IT & Business Development departments stood out. Their courageous decision to rethink the most important software project of the entire company and to choose a new software partner after investments had already been made and the project already started was rewarded with the Risk Award 2022.

The achievement of making the Pomoca brand the market leader in North America was honored with the Excellent Execution & Process Improvement Award 2022. The award went to the Pomoca team in Switzerland as well as to the Oberalp Group's US marketing team, as this success was only possible through close and successful collaboration between the two teams.

In the Sustainability Award category, no projects or teams were honored in 2022, even though there have been numerous applicants. In the area of sustainability, we as the Oberalp Group are known to have high standards, and the day-to-day achievements of our sustainability department are therefore excluded from this award. The award is seen as an incentive for the conception of extraordinarily sustainable solutions on the part of all employees within the company. In terms of sustainability, we never want to be satisfied with the status quo and aim even higher next year!

The exceptional efforts and achievements of a member of the sales department were honored with the Digitization Award 2022. This member of the Oberalp team succeeded in independently optimizing the Oberalp Group's digital sales tools and thus truly revolutionizing the Group's sales monitoring.

Lastly, the Direct to consumer Award category was added to the award portfolio for the first time in 2022. This category honors projects and teams that stand out for their excellent work on the end customer (online and offline). In 2022, this award went to the team of the bistro Salewa Bivac - located at the Oberalp Group headquarters in Bolzano - for transforming a normal Bistro into a real "place to be" with healthy and high-quality cuisine.
