Hobbies: too many... various sports (hiking, cross-country skiing, ski touring), traveling, cooking, reading, languages, dancing, painting, sewing, astrology - and now and then I work as a sommelier.
What's always in her backpack: In which of my many?... In my hiking backpack: water bottle, sunglasses, and gloves. In the backpack of my life: lots of patience.
Versatile and tenacious, with a wide range of interests, Simona travels through life full steam ahead and is always on the lookout for the next challenge: the higher the hurdle, the greater her motivation. "What I set my mind to, I achieve, because: "Where there's a will, there's a way." Simona proves this every day and currently, especially in her Portuguese course. Everything can be taken away from you, but not the knowledge and experience you have acquired - this is real wealth.
After studying French and spending several months in London, the trained sommelier left the British capital with one suitcase and a one-way ticket to Spain without a work contract and without having a place to stay there. Various job experiences in tourism have shaped her: "I developed a certain empathy for people and learned to read between the lines." The dutiful, reflective, helpful, and solution-oriented Simona has now been working for the Oberalp Group for over 16 years. She is someone who calls a spade a spade and demands the same from her team members and customers. She is serious and determined but can also become impulsive at times.
Simona does not know boredom. Last winter, the jack-of-all-trades - after thirty years - bought a pair of skates again and visibly enjoyed skating. Simona doesn't follow well-trodden paths: she always motivates herself anew. A quality that also makes her successful in her job. She recharges her batteries in nature and with good friends and she is already thinking about another hobby: "Maybe I will become a DJ in my next life," Simona smiles. We wouldn't put it past her.
