Elena Colombo is the new brand manager at LaMunt

Ruth Oberrauch, who was appointed president of the entire Oberalp Group in June, is handing over the management of LaMunt to her longtime team member Elena Colombo, who has played a key role in shaping the brand’s commercial development since its launch.

LaMunt is setting the course for the future. Ruth Oberrauch, who founded the premium mountaineering brand “by women, for women” within the Oberalp Group in 2020, is handing over her role as Brand Manager to Elena Colombo effective immediately. Elena previously served as the brand’s Commercial Manager and will now assume overall responsibility for the strategic and operational development of LaMunt.

Ruth Oberrauch had already assumed the presidency of the Oberalp Group on June 1, 2026, succeeding her father and company founder Heiner Oberrauch. Going forward, Ruth will focus on the strategic development of the Oberalp Group, which includes brands such as Salewa, Dynafit, Pomoca, Wild Country, and Evolv. She will continue to closely oversee LaMunt’s development in her new role.

“Elena knows LaMunt inside and out. She helped shape our commercial strategy from the very beginning and shares the brand’s values and vision with deep conviction,” explains Ruth Oberrauch. “I am convinced that she will lead LaMunt into its next phase of growth with the same energy and authenticity with which she has guided us in commercial operations over the past few years.”

Elena Colombo brings many years of international experience in the luxury and accessories segment and possesses specialized market knowledge in the APAC region. She combines her expertise in retail, multichannel distribution, and brand positioning with a deep-rooted passion for the mountains and outdoor sports. In doing so, she embodies the core of the LaMunt brand and once again underscores the guiding principle that has shaped the brand since its founding: “by women, for women.”

For LaMunt, the focus is on direct engagement with women who view the mountains not only as a place for athletic performance but as an integral part of their lives. Functionality and sophisticated aesthetics come together to create a new, feminine take on mountain sportswear. At the same time, LaMunt is committed to building a strong community where women can share their passion for the mountains and learn from one another.

LaMunt is a project I believe in deeply, both personally and professionally. The mountains are a part of my life and an environment I've known and lived in for as long as I can remember.

“Taking on Ruth’s legacy is a huge responsibility for me, but also an extraordinary opportunity. My goal is to continue driving LaMunt’s growth and to position our identity even more clearly: as a premium brand by women for women that interprets the mountains through a contemporary lens, combining functionality with feminine finesse.”
