What should not be missing in my backpack: Tissues – As a mother of three, I'm always prepared for whatever might come up.
More than ten years ago, when Giorgia Passadore was still working for another company, she saw the Oberalp Group as her ideal workplace: a stimulating environment that offered the right balance for combining a career with family life. Becoming a mother of three at a young age taught her early on what it means to take responsibility.
Today, after ten years at the Oberalp Group, Giorgia is exactly where she always hoped to be. She has always been drawn to work that involves managing finances, analyzing numbers and solving problems. "As long as there aren't too many of them," she adds with a smile.
Although she never set out to pursue a leadership role, Giorgia is now Treasury Manager – and exactly where she belongs. Her strong sense of responsibility, eagerness to learn and determination to fully understand every process have shaped her professional growth, leading her to take on increasing responsibility over the years.
Her work focuses on managing the financial resources of the entire Oberalp Group. Her responsibilities include cash management, payment monitoring, managing relationships with banks and securing the best possible financial conditions. She is also responsible for administrative processes in the retail business, expense management and e-commerce back-office activities. "My work is centred on improving processes and solving problems. It's incredibly varied, but it can also be quite demanding," Giorgia explains.
There is one phrase she simply cannot stand: "We've always done it this way." That's exactly why she is committed to continuous improvement and takes pride in the many successful changes she has helped implement – changes that have now become part of everyday business of the Oberalp Group. These include the introduction of new electronic payment terminals in our own stores and corporate credit cards, both of which have made a significant contribution to the development of the entire Oberalp Group.
In addition to her professional expertise, Giorgia is highly valued for the way she connects with people. Over the years, she has helped create a working environment built on trust, respect, openness and loyalty. Her colleagues describe her as positive, energetic and approachable – someone who is always willing to help and can always be relied upon.
I firmly believe in the value of people. That's why I never compromise when it comes to respect, integrity and my personal values.
Outside of work, family is at the heart of Giorgia's life. Her three children have always been the driving force behind her energy and motivation. Her greatest personal achievement is seeing love and kindness reflected in their eyes, their smiles and their actions. She is equally grateful for the unwavering support of her husband, who stands by her through every challenge, and for her mother and her late father, whose example continues to remind her how important health and quality of life truly are.
In recent years, Giorgia has rediscovered her adventurous side, which had taken a back seat for quite some time. Music plays a special role in that journey. "I love singing, but performing in front of an audience doesn't come naturally to me. Every time I step onto the stage for a singing recital or a musical performance, I leave my comfort zone behind – and my heart starts racing," she says.
She experienced something similar when she took her very first skiing course last year. "I kept challenging myself and learned so much. I'm really proud of what I achieved – and I'm looking forward to continuing this journey!"
